Adjacent Field Update

Grant Pye, 28 May 2015 18:57

Dear F&BCC Member,

Finally, we can report to all the Members that there has been some progress with regards to our proposed application for Outline Planning Permission for the adjacent land.

You will recall from our report to the AGM in December that we had to delay our application because of the Durton Lane Development. The HCA’s mitigation scheme for that development had originally utilised the 3 fields to the south of Eastway/ and east of our grounds which meant that the field we were after would not have been available to us to develop as a cricket ground.

Our Ecologist liaised with the Ecologist for HCA and eventually last month their proposed mitigation plan for only 2 fields was accepted by Preston Planning Department thus leaving the 3rd field for our development. Work has already started by HCA ,using Barton Grange as contractors, on those 2 fields.

We have now received a list of 10 points we need to cover when making our application and we have already covered most of them such as the traffic / transport statement, the Ecology report and the Ground Level Survey all of which will “only take a bit of tweaking!”

We have also had some initial input from a friend of a Club Member who is familiar with planning applications and we are actively moving forward with the other requirements so as to be in a position to make the application in the near future.

Incidentally, if any Club Member has experience of drawing up plans for the proposed changing rooms/toilets/umpires room can they please volunteer their services. We may not need their help for the initial application but will do so for the full application.

We report again in the next few months.
